Works For Me Campaign
Mitsubishi Electric is one of the world’s leading names in the manufacture and sales, of electrical and electronic products – for the home, business and industry. You’ll find Mitsubishi Electric wherever you go – from the fridge in your home, to the air conditioner in your office, or the audio system in your car.
Creative agency, RGC Advertising was commissioned to produce a series of video pre roll ads that would be utilised to promote the Mitsubishi Electric brand and associated products through Facebook and YouTube marketing campaigns over a six-week period.
The campaign objective was to raise awareness of their range of consumer and industrial Refrigerators and Air Conditioners.
Arguably two of the most popular online platforms, Facebook and YouTube were identified as the two most perfect conductors to promote the products. In a mere thirty seconds, the videos had clearly outlined the range of products Mitsubishi Electric distributed, by using the simple repetition of the word “Here”. Spanning from refrigerators to air conditioning units, the clip exemplified the simplicities of the products in statements such as “technology that thinks for us” and “keeps our food fresh”. The memorable slogan in “Works for Me” also went a long way in demonstrating the usefulness of Mitsubishi Electric’s products in Australia.
Advertising on YouTube has become increasingly more popular with consumers, and is a great way to drive traffic for brands. RGC Advertising recognised TrueView video advertising as a means to reach and engage the Mitsubishi Electric target audience.
Whilst pre roll video ads were being maneuvered through a series of YouTube advertisements, the same videos were also being promoted within Facebook news feeds. Like YouTube marketing, Facebook is also extremely practical when attempting to reach and connect with consumers. And by combining both YouTube and Facebook for video display ads, we were able to achieve fantastic results for the brand, and hence achieve very favourable 100% completion rates.
Collectively there were a total of six videos promoted ranging from 30 seconds to 1.00 minute in view time. Both online platforms performed exceptionally well, with YouTube video ads obtaining a Full View Through Rate of 24.10%, and combined with Facebook gained a total of 107,100 completed views. Due to the great success of the Facebook and YouTube ad campaign, Mitsubishi Electric are set up for a truly great 2017. Mitsubishi Electric, ‘Works for Me’.
