Breville is an Australian manufacturer of innovative small kitchen appliances. They created the original sandwich toaster, and the Breville name has become synonymous with such devices around the world. Breville enriches people's lives through food and cooking technology and this is strongly supported by Heston Blumenthal, who is their global brand ambassador.

By linking food science to amazing Breville products, RGC Advertising was engaged to create a responsive and content managed website, so Breville could showcase their numerous food ambassadors, and their famous recipes using Breville products plus keeps their loyal fans up to date with a host of inspiring videos, tips and recipes.

This new website was created in an open source content management system called Joomla and is responsive, which means it is viewable and scalable across all desktop, tablet and mobile devices. With beautiful product and food photography, the website provides consumers with delectable food, which ultimately showcases the essence of the Breville product range.

 

 

The creation of this website saw it be a key driving referrer of traffic to the main Breville website, where consumers can learn additional technical product information and it also constantly keeps consumers up to date with ongoing incentive based promotions.

This website received tremendous results for RGC Advertising, and as a result the "Food Thinkers Website won an Outstanding Website Award" at the 2014 Web Awards in the Consumer Goods Category. This international competition, which was hosted by the Web Marketing Association in the United States, received more than 1,500 entries from 40 countries and was adjudicated in 96 industry categories during the competition.

Entries were judged on design, copy writing, innovation, content, interactivity, navigation, and use of technology. For us this award was an amazing result because this truly demonstrates our ongoing online achievements in a category, which is highly competitive across the globe. The consumer goods category represents our core competencies and it is exciting to be recognised by our peers for having succeeded in a category, which represents the vast majority of our client’s products and services.
