It’s refreshing to know there are still companies out there who actually have ethical values and deliver what they promise. Our association with RGC is the best investment that the "Australian Flower Council" has made thus far." Rob Giansanti The Australian Flower Council is a trading name of the Flower Growers Group of NSW Inc and was established to encourage unity and communication within the flower industry. The Council was formed as of a result of increasing demand amongst industry participants for a forum and access point for growers, wholesalers, florists, educational institutions and government. The main objective of the Council is to encourage people to buy more flowers and promote growth within the flower industry. RGC Advertising was first invited to do a presentation to the board on the viability of a content managed website. After a 30 minute presentation RGC was asked to return to do a pitch on how the flower industry could be better promoted. The board voted unanamously on RGC being the prefered agency and a tremendous partnership was born and so was the Australian Flower Council. RGC Advertising attended many meetings to discuss ways in which the flower industry could establish open lines of communication and encourage growth. The initial stages required the creation of a business plan and marketing strategy. These plans provided a blueprint for future avenues of growth. The business plan outlined potential income streams for the council, whilst the marketing strategy highlighted mechanisms in order to reach the industry and consumer market. RGC Advertising devised a blueprint, and the following mediums were created. Naming of Council, logo design, flyers & promotional material, interactive and content managed website which also included membership and advertising. An advertising campaign was also created which consisted of printed material and online mediums. RGC Advertising attends all board meetings and is regularly commissioned to plan and facilitate strategies to ensure the ongoing growth of the Council and to also represent them in the industry. The launch was very well received within the industry. Future plans will engage educational and government institutions. A voice for the industry has been created and a national network will ensure its longevity. |
